FPC Takes You to Understand the Transmission Device of the Roller Extrusion Granulator

 In the new system of the twin-roll extrusion granulator, a transmission device in which a single motor drives a single roller through a gear box is selected. In this way, it can avoid the trouble of starting, maintenance, and installation caused by the selection of high-power motors when driving the assembly at high power.

The gear box in the roller extrusion granulator uses planetary transmission or a combination of cylindrical gear and planetary transmission. The volume and weight of the gearbox can be reduced by 1/3-1/2 compared with the cylindrical gear reducer under the same load capacity condition. Therefore, the load applied to the end of the roller due to the suspension device can be reduced, and the force of the roller and the supporting bearing can be improved.

The output end of the machine adopts a connection type that combines a steel ball coupling and a cross universal coupling. Not only can you get used to the connection requirements of the floating roller system, but also can make the steel ball coupling in the roller squeeze pelletizer skid quickly when the equipment is overloaded or stuck by foreign matter, and then the gear box, motor and host can be maintained The system is protected from damage.


Each driving roller in the roller extrusion granulator is driven by its own gear box. The output shaft adopts the hollow shaft method, and is directly fixed on the end of the roller shaft with a locking disk. There are no anchor bolts, which saves the trouble of some installations.

Because the planetary gearbox of the transmission system has a series of advantages such as high power density, small size, compact layout, etc., it is a more suitable transmission device in the roller extrusion granulating machine.
