Matters Needing Attention in the Use of Groove Type Compost Turner

It mainly includes the control of raw material composition, selection and use of microbial agents, aeration and oxygenation during fermentation.

① The raw materials include livestock manure, sawdust, crop straw and other raw materials, which are mixed to adjust the carbon nitrogen ratio. In addition, calcium phosphate, zeolite, raw soil and other substances are added to absorb the odor generated in the fermentation process. 

② the selection of appropriate microbial fermentation agent can shorten the fermentation time. 

③ oxygen control in the fermentation process to ensure aerobic fermentation.

This composting fermentation method requires that the moisture content of livestock manure should be kept at a low level (below 70%). Therefore, it requires that the cleaning and transportation mode of livestock manure should be dry cleaning, or the solid-liquid separation conditions of wastewater should be provided, and the solid fertilizer should be treated in this way. Specific composting methods: 

① collection: collect and stack livestock and poultry together; 

② mixture: mix livestock and poultry feces, microbial fermentation agent and auxiliary materials evenly, at this time, the water content of mixed materials is about 55%, and the carbon nitrogen ratio is 25:1; 

③ Stacking: select the appropriate size of cement floor, or cover the floor with plastic film, the stacking material is long strip, the control height is 0.8-2.0 m, the width is 2-6.0 m, in the stacking process, evenly bury the ventilation pipe in the pile (it can be replaced by bundles of corn stalks), the lower part of the ventilation pipe is required to touch the ground, and the upper part is required to be exposed; 

④ The change of fermentation temperature of compost pile was observed by thermometer. When the temperature reached 60 ℃, the compost should be turned over. When the temperature was low, the compost should be covered with plastic film to promote fermentation. 

⑤ after the compost temperature reached 50 ℃ for 15 days, the fertilizer could be applied in the field. If the compost temperature was low, the compost time should be extended appropriately.
